Plouf!
in collaboration with Jean-Pascal Flavien
2006
On 26 July, 2006, two boats met off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, near the Ilhas Cagarras. A larger boat carried the audience, while Jean-Pascal Flavien and myself arrived in a smaller fishing boat. When the two ships met, one of us read a text that we had written for the occasion, while the other signalled in Morse, with signal flags, and in semaphore. The two ships parted as the exchange came to an end. This performance was performed in 2009 on the river Thames for the Tate Modern and was last performed on the river Seine for the Palais de Tokyo in 2014.
